Do I have to open the app every time I park?
You don't have to, no. Saving your spot is one tap — from the app, a widget, or Siri. And with auto-detect on, NoTicket notices the end of your drive and asks "Looks like you parked?" right on your lock screen, so you can confirm without opening anything. Either way, a two-second glance that it grabbed the right curb goes a long way.
How does it know the street-cleaning rules for my block?
It uses real NYC street-cleaning sign data mapped to individual curbs, so it knows not just your street but which side you're parked on — and it factors in official alternate-side suspensions and holidays.
Will this drain my battery?
NoTicket leans on the low-power signals your phone already tracks — Bluetooth connections and motion — rather than running GPS constantly. It's designed to sit quietly in the background.
Can I use it with Siri?
Yes — three hands-free phrases, no phone in hand (say “NoTicket” or “No Ticket,” both work):
“Hey Siri, I just parked with NoTicket” — saves your spot and reads the street-cleaning schedule back to you.
“Where did I park with NoTicket” — opens your saved spot.
“I moved my car with NoTicket” — saves the new spot, replacing the old one.
Can I share my car with someone else?
Yes — if two of you drive the same car, share it. Send an invite link from the app; once they join, you both see where the car is parked, the street-cleaning schedule for that spot, and the same move-the-car reminders. Whoever re-parks it, the spot updates for everyone.
Can NoTicket guarantee I'll never get a ticket?
No — and be suspicious of any app that says otherwise. NoTicket reads official NYC data and reminds you in time, but the signs on the street are always the final word: rules change, temporary signs go up, and no detection is perfect. We're also early — NoTicket is improving every week, and it can still get a sign wrong or miss one entirely. So do two things: give the posted signs a quick look when you park, and glance at what the app saved — the right curb, the right schedule. Where you park — and any ticket that comes from it — is your call and your responsibility.
